engaging environment to conduct cutting-edge research while earning a graduate degree.

Graduate research opportunities exist in a wide variety of interdisciplinary topics. In addition,
student life in Salt Lake City is fun and affordable, with ample opportunities for urban and outdoor recreation. Campus is nestled below the stunning Wasatch Mountains, campus is near many urban and cultural attractions and less than an hour away from 10 world-class ski resorts. Plus, eight National Parks are within half a day’s drive: Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Grand Teton, Great Basin, Yellowstone and Zion.

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[The U Mechanical Engineering Graduate Student Advisory Council (GSAC) is looking for new members interested in engaging with our community of grad students. GSAC activities are mainly focused (but not limited) to the following:
<ul>
	<li>    Involved in graduate student affairs</li>
	<li>    Promote communication and collaboration among students and faculty.</li>
	<li>    RPT (Retention, Promotion, Tenure) reviews</li>
	<li>    New faculty hiring (Attend seminars and luncheon to review and provide feedback)</li>
	<li>    Organization of graduate visitation weekend (GVW)</li>
	<li>    Outreach activities
<ul>
	<li>Graduate fairs</li>
	<li>Social events</li>
</ul>
